207.4 (or, an Answer for Bat-Rider)

Was happy to see the scale down a little bit more this morning.

After a long, four month absence, I returned to the rink last night. I admit, I was a little nervous about playing again. I was worried about the amount of rust on my already shaky game as well as being worried about how the knee would hold up.

In spite of a loss, I managed to make it through the game intact and uninjured. Now that I'm only playing one night a week (thanks to some nicely immature communications on the part of my former Thursday team) it will take me a while to get back into the groove. (or is that "rut?)

P and I are back with the midwife tomorrow and because the appointment is a little later in the morning I will be able to have my morning workout at a semi-reasonable hour.

Can I get a "yay"?

YAY!!

And I think playing only one night is actually a good thing. You don't want to put too much stress on your knee all at once.

YAY!

That's awesome. I haven't weighed myself again since I've started swimming a few weeks ago, but I've noticed that I now could really use a belt. I take it as a good sign. :)

YAY!

If you need another night you can always come down here and play on Saturday nights at 10:15. There are normally some really good players in that time slot. If I am feeling rusty I go play with them. After that the league I play in is easy.

Good for you. I've been meaning to join an adult league for some time now. I just know those first few games will mean short shifts with me gasping for air on the bench!
There isn't a more enjoyable way to get in shape than hockey though.

Honey, if you go play hockey with Larry in St. Lou at 10:15..what time do you figure you'll be home that night? ;)

P-Shag, it sounds as if you are trying to figure out how much time you'll have to rendezvous with someone. Since, both Mossy and myself will be playing hockey, and we are the only two you should be rendezvousing with, I'm slightly concerned and a bit jealous. :)

My legs are fried still,oh get this I am headed to New Orleans - yes some highly intelligent friends of mine thought a "fly away stag" was a good idea and cheap was New Orleans in September... I wonder why????

Keep the momentum going!!

Oh and a side shot -- do the Argo's plan to bring back Conridge Hollaway too?? (laughin)..maybe rename them

Callie: You're probably right, but I'd still prefer to play twice a week.

Dirty: I'd be surprised if you hadn't lost anything, especially if you think you're down a pant size. I'm sure that swimming - combined with adjusted diet - will work wonders. Good on you!

Outburst: I can point you in the direction of a good TO adult league to play in.

Larry: I'd love to get on the ice with you, but that TO-STL commute is a real bear.

Penny: Um, I'd be home VERY late, I think.

Bat-Rider: Not sure about old Condredge, but I hear they're talking to Nick Volpe about suiting up in emergency situations. I think he still has his old leather helmet kicking around. Isn't Andre Ware looking for work??
